 Building A Nursery
The other day when checking baby muffs under feeders I noticed these two babies about dead. Old man winter had just about taken it's toll on these two since the parents had gotten off of them for a short break. I remember Rick Rutledge telling me about a nursery he built in his basement and how he had went about it. I had nothing to put these two babies under so I decided to build a nursery like Rick had explained. I took a small Rubbermaid tub and put a towel in it. I then took a heat lamp and put a 40 watt bulb in it and clamped it to the Rubbermaid tub. I have maintained the heat it puts out to about 80 to 90 degrees and babies are doing well. I hate to have to hand feed these babies all the way out but I know if I want to keep them alive, this is what I will have to do.
